Past Hunger Games - the 67th Hunger Games - college campus
arena suggested by mostlymisfitsandshit
The 67th annual Hunger Games took place on the campus of an abandoned college. The cornucopia was placed in the center of the football stadium, and the tributes had to race down from the stands to enter the bloodbath. Because the cornucopia was in such an exposed area, the career tributes took the time to move all of the items into a locker room, rather than hold the vulnerable location. The games took a gruesome turn when some of the weaker tributes attempted to hide out in an old dorm building and ended up getting thrown from the windows by the careers. It was a record day with 10 killings, nearly twice as many as had occurred on the first day. The victor, Cashmere, who volunteered for the games, was very manipulative, and managed to win the games without ever really getting her hands dirty. She convinced the other careers to do most of the killing, and only killed the last two careers left alive. Cashmere killed the male tribute from District 4 and the female tribute from District 2 using a set of throwing knives, with which she had had past training. 8 years later, at the age of 25, Cashmere participated in the 3rd Quarter Quell, alongside her brother Gloss. Both were killed during those games.
